This tutorial is for making a matching envelope for your Printable Layered Stationery.  Of course, you can't print this out and use it like you can your Printable Layered Stationery. :-)  It's just for fun and to give you a little more practice with PSP.

You will pretty much need the same things for this tutorial as you
used with the Printable Layered Stationery tutorial.  So have them all handy.

Open a new transparent image 400 x 400. Add a new layer.

Set your background color to the same color you used for the layer
that you placed your lines on top of in your stationery....the lighter
color. Use a darker color for your foreground.

Next, click on your Presets tool, and choose the rectangle shape.  This will draw the bottom part of your envelope as well as add your border.  Your settings should look like this:

Place your cursor at the corrdinates 50,200 and draw out and down to coordinates 350,380.

Click on your Magic Wand , using these settings.

Click inside the darker color on the envelope, and flood fill with
the same pattern you used on your stationery.  Go to Selections/Select None.

This is what you should have now.

Add a new layer.

Now click on your Presets tool again only this time choose the triangle shape....all other settings are the same.  Your Preshape tool settings should now look like this:

Place your cursor at  the upper left corner of your envelope and draw out to about 336 and up to about 103. You will probably have to play with it a few times to really get it right.  The bottom part of your envelope would have to be exactly positioned as mine for these settings to work.

Now click on your Mover tool and position your envelope top directly over, but connecting with, your envelope bottom image.

Click on your Magic Wand again and click on the dark borders. Then flood fill with your pattern.  Your image should now look like this:

Now go to Layers/Merge/Merge All, and save.

Of course if you don't want to make an envelope every time, you can always save your completed envelope as a psp file before you flood fill your borders.  Then you can flood fill your borders with whatever pattern or texture you want.

That's it. Now you can address your envelope....just for fun.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Thank you for visiting and come back soon. This was so much fun I think I'll start a "Tutorials" sections.  It's very time consuming, but fun.

God bless you all!

Janette
