Tracy rested
her flushed face
against the cool
window. It
had been hours
since she had
left her warm
bed to fight her
way to the
airport.
Finally, she sat
on the plane,
which was
preparing to
taxi onto the
runway.
This trip,
unlike many
others, brought
none of the
familiar
pleasure to her
heart as the
plane began to
move...no
vacation...no
friend's
wedding.
This trip was a
somber one to
visit her ailing
father in a
distant state.
Her father
was sick; her
husband was
frustrated and
angry as his
company
transformed to a
younger, more
"able" staff,
and her teenage
son was pushing
to fit in with a
group of
students Tracy
didn't care for.
Why was all of
this taking
place now?
Why Lord?
She had prayed!
She had always
lived a life
worthy of
blessing and
reward....or so
she had thought.
As the plane
slowly rose into
the air, Tracy
surveyed the
land below her.
Dark and dreary
under a cloudy,
rainy sky, the
entire landscape
seemed to fit
her mood.
Slowly, the
plane began to
break through
the clouds, and
she could no
longer see the
land below.
They seemed to
be lost in a
gray mist until
they climbed on
top of the
clouds.
What a
difference!
The dark,
menacing clouds
were transformed
into soft white
blankets.
The blue sky and
sunshine were
bright and
unwavering on
the other side.
Does life
seem dark and
dreary from your
perspective?
Are you living
beneath the dark
clouds of
depression or
sadness?
Sadness....this
feeling I know
all too well.
I have never
before hurt as
much or as
deeply, as I
have since my
husband's death.
But, God is
always there,
His love
surrounding us,
even in the
darkest of
times.
It's hard to
see the light in
the midst of the
storm. But
remember, just
beyond the cloud
cover is an
amazing sight.
God allows
things to happen
for a
reason...we may
not understand
or even like it,
but He has a
plan, and His
plans are always
to our good.
Today, allow God
to show you life
"From His
Perspective."
Trust Him in all
things and open your heart
to receive His
plan and His
vision for you.
