Empowering Women for Spiritual Warfare

We as women of God, have as much responsibility as men to take this world for Jesus. He is coming soon to take us home to be with Him forever...for all eternity!! Galatians 3:28 says, Therefore is neither Jew or Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. So, this is telling me if you have been born again, you have been liberated by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

There is a mighty work to be done in these last days and God needs ALL of us to help bring in the end-time harvest of souls. Getting people saved is one thing, but keeping them free is another. Therefore, I want to share with you about the spiritual warfare that is around us, and how to deal with it on a daily basis.

Trouble is all around us, sin is raging for the devil knows his time is short. We are all experiencing spiritual warfare as never before. So, we must learn how to take our stand as believers and live in total victory in every area of our lives. You may be sitting there thinking, "but...I never wanted to be in battle---I don't want to fight the devil! I just want to be a normal Christian, go to church, mind my own business and not cause any trouble." But when your children get into drugs, your daughter comes up pregnant and not married and she wants an abortion and your husband is watching pornographic movies---you learn spiritual warfare out of necessity!

Satan is our arch enemy. He is the foe of every human being, starting with Adam an Eve. The name satan means "adversary" or "one who opposes." Sometimes these truths frighten people and they want to ignore the enemy, but that is unrealistic and dangerous. Satan hates you and me. Godly women remain a frustration to him. They fight for their children, their husbands, their families with the Word of God. They are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and do what the Word says to do in these difficult situations---understanding that satan is using human weaknesses to try to destroy you and your loved ones.

Our warfare is in the realm of the supernatural. There is an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, but there is also the manifestation of demon power like never before. Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Ephesians 6:12 tells us that, we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against power, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Also, in 2 Corinthians 10:3,4, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Strongholds are spirit beings that are at war with us. In this kind of battle we cannot rely on human power and resources.

We have no reason to fear demons or the devil. Nowhere in the Bible does God infer that we should fear the devil...the very opposite is true. Why? Because he is defeated! Here are five Scriptures about why we do not fear him:

(1) Matthew 16:18, Upon this rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it
(2) 2 Timothy 1:7, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and a sound mind.
(3) 1 John 4:4, Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(4) John 8:32, Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
(5) James 4:7, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We as Christians must recognize this power of resistance and begin using it, not just for defense but as an offensive weapon. When you continually resist evil, it will become a way of life to you. The Word tells us to resist the devil. "Resist" is a military word and it means to "take action." Ephesians 4:27 tells us, ...don't give place to the devil. "Topos" is the Greek word for "place" which is "ground". That's where we get our word "topography." So, you win by not giving him place, even in your thought life.

Since we know that we are supposed to resist satan...then why don't we? Genesis 6:5 said that, every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. We see satan's thoughts in our educational system, the media, and false religion, to name a few. In Ephesians 2:2, satan is said to be the prince of the power of the air. He is behind the atmosphere of the thoughts of this world that are hostile to God. He wants to blind our minds. But 1 John 5:4 says, For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.

That is why it is essential that we renew our minds and our thoughts to the Word of God. Always follow Jesus and His ways...put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). God will help you to do spiritual warfare...when you appropriate the Word.

Don't let satan's power stop you or cause you to fear. He only has the power and authority that you give him. If you start backing down because he turns the pressure up, then he may very well win the battle...he will never win the war.

God has given us His power, by faith. Now don't you think that if God had enough power to throw satan, (who was His high angel) out of heaven, when he tried to overtake God's throne, that He has the power to protect you? To give you power to throw him out? He tells us that He has given all power unto us. He tells us, "only believe"!!!! Trust in and rely on Him!! He has given His children power and victory...it is up to us to believe Him and to take the power He has given us.

So, take back what satan has stolen from you. Put on your armor of God and march right in to the enemies camp and take back what he has stolen....whether it be, health, finances, bravery, faith, sound mind, whatever....take it back...God has empowered you to do spiritual warfare and take back what the devil has stolen from you and your family!!
