Don't Cast Away Your Confidence

"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward."

(Hebrews 10:35)

Today, I'd like to take a moment just to remind you of how unique and precious you are to God.  You are really special.  God didn't make anybody like you.  And He didn't make anybody like me either!  He broke the mold when He made you and me!  You see, God gives each of His kids special gifts and abilities that only they have.  None of us is insignificant in life.  All of us have a unique purpose in God's plan.

For many people, it's easy to lose sight of that.  As I continue with this ministry, I find that many people don't feel like they're important in the scheme of things.  I've noticed that the devil works overtime trying to rob people of their self-esteem.  I believe he does this so that we won't realize how precious we really are to God....how important we are to His plan on the earth.

The devil attacks our confidence in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.  Every day we're bombarded with worldly ideas of how we should talk, look and act.  Sometimes the devil uses people to attack or criticize us personally.  But, no matter how he comes to steal our confidence away, we need to know that he does have a reason for lashing out at us.  His reason?  To make the Gospel of no effect.  The devil knows that when you think that you aren't worth much, you end up acting like it and that gives him an edge.  Faith in God is what gets things done in your life.  But, it's hard to have faith in God when you don't have much confidence in yourself.

You need confidence to succeed!  The devil knows this.  And he doesn't want you to think you're unique or powerful in any way.  He doesn't want you to realize your position in the Body of Christ or your authority as a believer.  He doesn't want you talking to God, getting healing, gaining wisdom about prosperity or understanding what it takes to have good relationships.  He wants the Word of God snuffed out of your life.  So, he is going to do his best to kill, steal and destroy anything that has the potential of helping you to succeed.  that includes attacks against your self-esteem and godly confidence.

Hebrews 10:35 warns us when it says, "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward."  In other words, don't throw your confidence away because there are some rewards involved here!  What is the reward?  "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:36).  You get the good stuff when you keep up your confidence, patience and faith!

Today, if you've been struggling with confidence in yourself or in God's Word, I want to encourage you to stop listening to all those condemning thoughts the devil is trying to beat you up with and regain your godly confidence!  Those negative thoughts aren't true anyway.  They're just a pack of lies spoken by an accuser.  What's he been accusing you of lately?

Don't buy into the enemy's critical words another day!  Don't buy into his lies!  You're God's child and First Corinthians 7:23 says that you've been bought with a price.  You are not a servant of men (or a slave to what they think or say about you) anymore.  You have been adopted into the family of God because of your acceptance of Jesus' shed blood and all the promises in God's Word are for you!

YOU have divine rights.  YOU are loved beyond measure.  YOU are important and you're on the Lord's mind today.  Pray to God today and allow Him to fill you up with His precious confidence.  Enter into His courts with thanksgiving and praise for what He has done for you and for the unique way He made you.  Then, accept His love.  Believe it!  When you read the Word, take it personally and confess its truths over your life.  That Book is for you!  As you build yourself up in the Word each day, it will build boldness in you to fight off every attack of the devil.

Remember, you are God's creation, made in His image and reborn of His Spirit.  No one is like you and no one ever will be!  So, don't let anyone ever tell you what you "can't" do.  You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! (Philippians 4:13).

I like the way The Amplified Bible says it.  "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]."

Take your rightful place in Him.  When doubt comes about who you are or what your purpose is in this world, rebuke that thought and tell the devil who you are in Christ Jesus and who Jesus says you are, through Him!

As a lot of "junk" keeps being posted in the Guestbook, I have decided to remove it.  I have deleted and deleted this junk and they just keep post more.

The main thing is that people are brought closer to God.
