Alone with Jesus I awoke this morning with Jesus on my mind With such peace, alone with Jesus I would spend time Such peace the waters, were quiet and still, There was no wind, only words from a poet's quill Be at peace my child, then Jesus did smile Together, just Jesus and I He visited for awhile There was no sound, yet such peace I did find Jesus was so gentle and kind I opened my eyes and Jesus was there Softly and tenderly I whispered a silent prayer We talked for a while, and my soul was at peace The birds hushed their singing; all did cease. I came to visit with you, and Jesus did smile We were alone, just He and I for awhile. The aura from Jesus created such light I visited with Jesus this night. I bowed my head, for a sinner such as I Tears rolled down my cheek; at peace I did cry. Jesus said you are to be my light In the darkest of night. Tell my children they need to pray We need peace, more than ever today. The hush of silence, there lay such inner peace No more fighting, Jesus said all should cease. The time grows nigh the winds shall roar I am coming again. I love you even more. Jesus said I came to visit you Walk in peace enjoy the morning dew.
