Adding a "Plugin" folder to PSP
Looking for some great tubes? Click on this button
PaintShop Pro is a wonderful and fun program, but it doesn't have all the folders that you may need.
Have you downloaded plugins only to find there is no folder in PSP to unzip those plugins to? Well, this tutorial is to help the newbie's solve that problem. It's very easy to add a new folder to PSP, so let's get started.
There are several ways in which you could do this, but here's the way I do it.
Before unzipping your Plugin, we have to make a folder within PSP for your plugins.
***NOTE***
You don't won't to overload PSP with too many plugins. There is a way around this and we will cover this later in the tutorial.
Okay. To make a "Plugin" folder within PSP follow the instructions below.
1. Double click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. A new window will open that looks like the one below.

2. Double click on the Local Disk (C:) icon. Another window will open showing all the folders on your "C" drive, similar to the one below.

3. Now scroll down your list of folders and find the folder named "Programs Files". Double click on this folder to open it. You should now be seeing all the different programs you have on your hard drive.
4. Now scroll down and find the folder named "Jasc Software Inc" and double click on it to open the folder. Once you have PSP folder open you should see only one folder that is named "Paint Shop Pro 7". Double click on this folder to open it. The contents of this folder will be very similar to the one below.

5. Now here's where we add our "Plugin" folder. To do this click on "File/New/Folder. You should now see a folder within PSP that looks like this:
See how the "New Folder" name is highlighted? This is so you can name your folder. Just type in "Plugins" and left click on it
once.
If by chance the "New Folder" will not let you type in the new name "Plugins", just right click on the folder and choose "Rename", then type in "Plugins". Now you have your folder to unzip your plugins to. Now start unzipping those plugins.
Remember how I said earlier that you don't want to overload PSP with Plugins? The reason for this is if you get too many in one folder it could cause PSP to crash on you. PaintShop Pro has provided a way around this for us. Click on the link below to learn how to save Plugins in a folder on your hard drive then set up PSP to find them.
